Nepali & Himalayan restaurant with full bar — Historic Old Town Florence, Oregon
1341 Bay St, Florence, OR 97439 · 4.7★ (150 Google reviews) · Convertible to any cuisine
Himalayan Grill House is a turnkey, fully-equipped restaurant with a full bar in the heart of Florence's Bay Street dining district. It opened in April 2025 and, in its first year of trading, took just under $450,000 — $442,492 in net sales through the Toast POS system — while earning a 4.7-star reputation across 150 Google reviews. The business is offered for sale because the owner operates another restaurant and is unable to dedicate sufficient time to both. The sale is not being marketed as a distressed sale.
Industry estimates put the cost of building a comparable restaurant and bar from scratch at $400,000–$600,000 — before the liquor licence, the compliance work and the location. This operation, including equipment, fit-out, brand, goodwill and lease transfer, is offered at $245,000: well under estimated replacement cost, with a grease interceptor, fire sprinkler system and full fire-department code compliance already in place and paid for, and an active liquor licence. The premises are also available without the equipment package for an operator bringing their own concept or franchise.
Three revenue channels have never been used by the current owner: delivery (the POS records $113.91 across three orders in an entire year), advertising of any kind, and a properly merchandised bar. The trading figures below were earned without any of them.

The business occupies the landmark Old Wharf Building — the most prominent storefront on Bay Street in Historic Old Town Florence, a restored 1901 general store at the heart of the walkable waterfront dining district and the town's primary visitor destination. For decades this address was home to the well-known Bridgewater Fish House & Zebra Bar, giving it a 30+ year dining pedigree and full restaurant-and-bar infrastructure already in place. Location of this calibre cannot be quickly recreated, and it is secured by the lease (4 years remaining + 5-year renewal option) included in the sale.

To follow: a profit-and-loss statement is currently being prepared by the owner's bookkeeper, and will be released to qualified buyers on the same terms as soon as it is available. No profit, margin or owner-earnings figure is quoted anywhere in this memorandum — the revenue above is verifiable from the POS today, and we would rather present a figure that can be checked than one that cannot. Buyers are invited to form their own view of earnings from the P&L when it is released.
The premises are also available without the equipment package for an operator bringing their own concept or franchise — price on application. See the separate Site & Lease Brief.
Trades 6 days per week (closed Wednesdays); lunch 11:30am–2:30pm, dinner 4:00–8:00pm. Average check $50.68, or $17.23 per guest. Strong seasonal peak May–September, which accounts for 59% of annual revenue. The current team is five people including the owner, all full-time at around 40 hours a week; the day starts with cleaners at 9:30am, preparation from 10:00am and opening at 11:30am. Tips are distributed to staff. Staff retention is optional for the buyer, and the owner will provide transition training.
Current trading conditions: 2026 has been slower across coastal Oregon tourism generally — visitor numbers are down on 2025 and input costs are up. Current-season figures are available to qualified buyers on request.
1. Delivery — never offered. The POS records $113.91 of delivery across three orders in an entire year, or 0.03% of sales. The restaurant already runs a full, commission-free online-ordering system on Toast, but it is configured for pickup only; delivery has never been operated, neither in-house nor through DoorDash or Uber Eats, the dominant channel in the Florence / Oregon Coast market. Because the ordering system is already in place, enabling delivery is a configuration step rather than a from-scratch build.
2. Marketing — never done. The business has never advertised: no paid media, no social media accounts, no promotion of any kind. The 4.7-star rating, the 150 Google reviews and all 25,685 guests were generated by foot traffic and word of mouth alone.
3. The bar — licensed and stocked, but barely merchandised. The liquor licence is active and the bar trades, but from a short spirits card rather than a menu, with no cocktail programme, and no drinks of any kind appear on the online-ordering menu.
Further levers include catering and group orders — the room seats a party of 12 — and extended peak-season hours; the kitchen currently closes at 8:00pm.
POS reports, lease documentation and a private viewing are available to qualified buyers under NDA — as is the profit-and-loss statement once released. Enquiries are handled by Shisir Lama on behalf of the owner.
